Arts Camp is back!! Now in it’s fourth year, this new concept of Vacation Bible School has been a big hit with kids and adults alike! It continues to grow in program content and activities with a new focus each year. This year’s theme is: “Living in God’s Creation” Campers will enjoy activities centered around stories of Creation, eco-friendly Craft projects, and recycling & repurposing items. Campers will paint & decorate an old, metal folding chair that they will take home to re-purpose. (We’re re-purposing the old, non-padded metal folding chairs that are still usable after 50+ years!) Beginning with supper, it’s a jam-packed, fun two and a half hours that’s sure to be a crowd-pleaser. Josh Ledesma will return to work his music magic with the kids. Campers will present music & a project from their camp experience on Thursday evening, August 1, at 7:45pm for family & friends. A reception, with punch & cookies, will follow the performance, where all the projects will be displayed and then may be taken home. How can you help? Check out the Camp Volunteer & Donation List in the newsletter. If you can help in anyway, we’d greatly appreciate your contribution. Shelby Schweri is the contact person for Arts Camp. She’ll sign you up to help, take donations of any kind and answer questions.
“Grillin’ with Guitars”
Sunday July 21st and August 18th!
In the spirit of fellowship and summertime fun, we will be gathering outside once a month near the Sanctuary’s front steps to celebrate our Sunday service with guitars (weather permitting or it will be indoors!) Join the Grill Master of the day for a pleasant, picnic-type potluck! Hotdogs & buns, condiments, plates, plastic-ware, napkins & beverages are provided. Please bring a Dish to pass and make it picnic-y style! If you’re not fond of hot dogs, you’re welcome to bring something else to throw on the grill.
